When you sign up for the Be Water Smart e-mail list, we ask for your name, e-mail address, mailing address and phone number. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

Any of the information we collect from you may be used to send news and information about the Be Water Smart program. Child Protection Policy (individuals under 13 years of age)
Be Water Smart encourages parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate in the activities offered on our site. No information should be submitted to or posted at BeWaterSmart.info by guests under 13 years of age without the consent of their parent or guardian. Be Water Smart will not collect any personal information from children under 13, and will not provide any personally identifying information whatsoever from our guests under 13 years of age to any third party for any purpose.
If Be Water Smart offers contests or other activities that require children under 13 years of age to provide personal information, Be Water Smart will provide a secure Web page that allows parents to view, revise and/or delete all information gathered about their children and to consent to Be Water Smart’s collection and use of such information. Links to that page will be prominently displayed on relevant pages, within this Privacy Policy, on all pages where information is gathered on the site, and in e-mails sent to parents to confirm permission to collect user data.
When a guest under 13 registers for a Be Water Smart contest or other activity, he/she will be required either to: (a) provide the e-mail address of a parent or guardian who will then receive an e-mail alert regarding his/her child’s attempted registration, or (b) print the registration/entry form and mail it with a parent/guardian’s signature. If such a guest wins, notification and prizes will be sent to the parent or guardian. Publication of names, ages, or likenesses of promotion winners under 13 requires parental or guardian consent.

Guests who are 13 to 17 years of age should seek parental consent before providing any personal identifying information on our site.
