If you are interested in tree-ripened, home grown, organically nurtured fruit, this class will get you started.  The focus will be on a “backyard orchard” planting with training ideas for most deciduous and citrus varieties in small areas.  Get advice on how to choose a variety that is right for you and your location.  Both instructors are UCCE trained with many years experience with these types of trees in our county.  The class will stress the development of small fruit trees, commonly called “fruit bushes”.  Learn the difference between genetic dwarfs and trees that are “dwarfed”.
