2016 Rose Days
April 30, 2016 - May 1, 2016
UC Davis is hosting its 9th annual Your Sustainable Backyard: Rose Days Event, sponsored by the California Center for Urban Horticulture (CCUH) and Foundation Plant Services on April 30 and May 1 at 455 Hopkins Road on the UC Davis campus. The event is free and open to the public. The weekend includes tours, information booths and a rose sale. Saturday will feature special guest speakers for a rose program.
Bus tours held from 12:30-3:00 showcase eight acres of Foundation Plant Services (FPS) roses open to the public just for this event on both Saturday and Sunday. Information booths include a Saturday and Sunday UC Master Gardener booth with volunteer rosarians to answer rose and other gardening questions. On Saturday, a booth sponsored by Foundation Plant Services will feature displays about how FPS uses tissue culture to eliminate viruses in roses.
Rose Days is held near 455 Hopkins Road off Straloch Road. Plenty of signs will show the way.
