Join us for an open house between 4 and 7 p.m. and get to know the wholesale water supplier for Citrus Heights Water District, Fair Oaks Water District, Orange Vale Water Company, San Juan Water District-Retail, and the portion of the City of Folsom north of the American River. In addition to informing the community about our surface water source and current water supply, this casual event will provide the general public and neighbors with insight on the various aspects of water delivery, water treatment, water conservation, water supply, and environmental stewardship. Information areas will showcase various water district services and operations, as well as conservation requirements for the retail service areas. Tours of the Sidney N. Peterson Water Treatment Plant, the Hinkle Pump Station, and the Water Efficient Landscape (WEL) Garden as well as short demonstrations for children are included as part of the event’s festivities. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Light refreshments will be available. Enter the site using the traffic light at Pinebrook Drive and Auburn Folsom Road.
