Learn & Shop: Low-Water Garden Walking Tour
April 17, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
$29Did you know that some of our showiest Arboretum gardens get watered only once every two weeks, even in mid-summer? It doesn’t take unlimited water to make a beautiful landscape! Come see examples of low-water plants in their spring glory and discover how they can become part of your own water-thrify landscape.
The first 90 minutes will be an easy walking tour with our Director of Horticulture, Ellen Zagory, as she showcases low-water demonstration gardens at the west end of the Arboretum. Many plants you see in mature forms in the gardens will be available for sale in our one-acre Arboretum Teaching Nursery. Following the walk with Ellen, you’ll have time to browse and choose your own low-water selections to take home from our extensive collection of UC Davis-grown plants.
