Welcome to Drip Drop, Hip Hop: A Journey Through the American River Watershed!

Drip Drop, Hip Hop is a collaboration between the NorCal School of the Arts (NorCal Arts) and the Regional Water Authority (RWA) that brings together the worlds of art and sustainability to empower children, families, and communities in the Sacramento region.

The Program

Funded by a $300,000 grant from the Capital Region Creative Corps and California Arts Council, Drip Drop, Hip Hop educates students and families about water efficiency through a three-person play and arts-integrated lesson plan. We perform FREE OF CHARGE at schools and community venues in Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado counties plus the City of West Sacramento. Our goal is to spread awareness about the importance of water efficiency. In addition, children receive a shower timer with water-efficiency tips, courtesy of local water providers (while supplies last).

 The Public Service Announcement
The program developed a 30-second television and radio Public Service Announcement (PSA) showcasing local children spreading the water efficiency message to a broader audience in both English and Spanish.
