Bufferlands will host Liz Oettinger of the newly formed Bird of Prey Health Group (BPHG) and owner of the Center for Reconnecting with Nature. Liz will talk about the work of the BPHG, an inter-professional group of veterinarians, technicians and bird of prey support staff and their work with rehabilitation for injured birds of prey. Liz will bring several of their “ambassador” birds (including the locally threatened Swainson’s hawk), so we can see these magnificent creatures up-close.
