Celebrate the EARTH Festival

April 18, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Free day of fun for the whole family

Enjoy free family fun at the 8th Annual Celebrate the Earth Festival, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday, April 18 at the Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd., in Mahany Regional Park. Bring the whole family for free entertainment, food trucks and other local food, green technology, electric vehicles and plenty of activities for the kids.

Start off the day in a green way by riding Roseville Transit to the event for free, or take advantage of free valet bike parking provided by the Roseville Alternative Transportation Division. Visit the Travel Green zone and chat with owners of traditional and electric vehicles courtesy of the Sacramento Electric Vehicle Association.

Explore different zones featuring local green vendors and City of Roseville booths to learn ways of being energy and water efficient, reducing waste and protecting your local watershed. Download the free Scavify app for iPhone or Android, and enter the “RosevilleEarth” hunt starting at 9:30 a.m. to take part in our scavenger hunt and compete for prizes.

Wander through the entire Festival for showcases featuring some of the latest and greatest programs, products and services to help you and your family save money, time and resources. Stop by Roseville Electric Utility’s booth to participate in the Flip My Fridge community door art and talk to your trusted solar advisors.

See the brand new technology-enhanced Mobile Library, then head to the main stage for live music, animal shows, science experiments from Mad Science and a recycled fashion show from Freestyle Clothing. Bring your appetite and enjoy food from one of the local food vendors in the courtyard, or head out back by the main stage to find food trucks from Sacto MoFo.

The Celebrate the Earth Festival is hosted by Roseville Electric Utility and Roseville Environmental Utilities and sponsored by Whole Foods Market in Roseville. For more visit roseville.ca.us/earthday.
