Fall/Winter Drought Preparedness Event On Friday, October 9, 2015, the Carmichael Water District will hold a fall/winter drought preparedness event in the parking lot at the District office. The goal of the event is to bring awareness of the continuing drought and the need to reduce water use even during the cooler months ahead. Staff will hand out free water saving devices such as hose nozzles, shower heads, and shower timers. SMUD will provide the District with wood chips to give away to customers for use as mulch in their landscapes. Country radio station KNCI will be onsite. Supplies are on a first-come, first-served basis while they last.
