10th Annual Gardens Gone Native Plant Tour
April 25, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
The Gardens Gone Native tour features 20 plus gardens demonstrating the benefits of landscaping with native plants: providing wildlife habitat (bees, butterflies and birds), reducing water usage, encouraging beneficial insects, reducing pesticide use, lowering maintenance and aesthetic appeal. Gardens are at least 50% California natives and all sizes and types of landscapes are included. Each host has a passion for native plant gardening and on the tour day will be available to share their knowledge freely with the public.
This event is a free self-guided tour to the various gardens. Garden descriptions and addresses will be provided so that participants can choose their own route during tour hours. Location information will be provided closer to the event date to everyone who registers.
The Gardens Gone Native garden tour is completely organized and run by volunteers. Over the last eight years, the tour has featured 97 California native gardens and has inspired hundreds of people to plant California natives in their garden.
Our thanks to those who have participated over the years!
