River-Friendly Landscaping for Home Gardeners

EcoLandscape is excited to partner with the Sacramento Suburban Water District and the Fulton-El Camino Recreation and Park District to  offer classroom and hands-on training to home gardeners in the spring of 2017, in conjunction with the installation of four river-friendly, low water use demonstration gardens in Howe Park.

The project begins with a four-week course in River-Friendly Landscaping for Home Gardeners in March 2017.

Course topics include:

  • Selecting the Best Plants for our Climate
  • How to Building Healthy Soil for Healthy Plants
  • Using Water-Wise Irrigation Methods
  • Least Toxic Pest Control and Fertilizer
  • Caring For Your River-Friendly Landscape and more!

In addition, attendees will get a chance to practice what they learned at two hands-on training days at the transformation site in Howe Park. The entire course is only $35 per attendee. See the course flyer or register
