City Department of Utilities staff are inviting people to an event on July 22, called the “Water Wise Garden Showcase,” to learn about gardening and watering wisely.

The showcase will feature experts on efficient irrigation practices, landscape designers, plant nurseries and information on City water-saving rebates.

The event is from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Department of Utilities campus (1395 35th Ave.) and short educational talks will be available from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m.

People can RSVP for the event on the Department of Utilities Facebook page. An RSVP is not required to attend but helps staff plan for the event.

Raffle prizes will be available to people who attend and are present during the raffle
