This workshop addresses the needs of homeowners who have replaced their lawns with water-wise ornamental landscapes. Using River-friendly principles, it answers questions such as how to maintain and “grow” a drip irrigation system; when and how to trim ornamental grasses and prune shrubs; how to manage weeds and insect pests in an environmentally responsible manner; and when and how to apply natural soil amendments, compost and mulch for optimal plant health.
